Look, Pair

Look, Man and Look, Lady are a pair of original 11 × 14" acrylic paintings exploring portraiture through simplified forms, geometric color, and expressive facial features.

Designed to be displayed together, the two paintings can be arranged in different ways depending on the space and the relationship you want them to create. Hang them facing one another for a more conversational composition, or turn them away from one another for a sense of distance and independence. Their matching scale and visual language allow the pair to shift depending on how they are installed.

The works are intentionally titled Look, Man and Look, Lady, with the pair collectively titled Look, Pair. Despite the shared word Look, these paintings are not part of the LOOK collection. The titles stand independently from the collection and are simply part of the conceptual language of these individual works.

Each painting is an original acrylic work on canvas, individually painted by hand. Variations in brushwork, color, and surface are part of the character of the originals.
