North-West
Hard Lines

North-West, Hard Line, approaches Non-Objective as recognizable subject matter becomes increasingly distorted, while maintaining the clean, rigid lines it shares with Pop Art. Like Pop Art, Hard Line uses defined edges, simplified shapes, and structured imagery, but moves further away from recognizable subjects and cultural imagery. As it approaches Non-Objective, the original subject becomes less apparent, but unlike Non-Objective work, Hard Line still begins with recognizable subject matter that has been altered through line, shape, and form.
