Gold Rock

A small circular mixed-media work made with highly textured plaster and mirrored mosaic tile. The irregular plaster edge surrounds a reflective geometric center, creating a contrast between rough, dimensional texture and a clean, reflective surface. The mirror catches light and fragments the surrounding space, giving the piece a different appearance depending on where you stand.

Small enough to work almost anywhere, 50 square inches of funk, Gold Moon can add texture, shine, and a little bit of visual play to a space. The mirrored center can help bounce light and create a subtle sense of openness, while also serving the occasional practical purpose of a very funky little hair check before heading out the door. One of a kind and highly textured, it works equally well on its own or alongside other small works.
